These days a gentler variant of liposuction has been developed and is becoming popular. It is referred to as Liposoft, and offers numerous enhancements over the original procedure. To start with, the technology doesn’t need a general anaesthetic, meaning a faster recuperation.
Liposoft is the new progression within cosmetic surgery and is a gentler version of liposuction. Liposuction is the most widely known and most favored cosmetic operations today. It is a surgical procedure for extracting fat from areas of the body, most commonly the abdomen, love handles and thighs.
In regular liposuction, a lot of fluid is introduced into the area to soften the fat for removing. This operation is named infiltration and can take up to an hour. The following phase is contouring, where a tool known as a cannula is inserted beneath the skin to break up fat deposits and suck it out from the body. This can injure the material next the area getting handled. After the procedure, any surplus solution needs to drain, a process which could take up to three days.
With Liposoft, on the other hand, the area is infiltrated using a solution including adrenaline (which minimises bleeding) and a topical anaesthetic, using a specially designed water jet. This removes the need for a general anaesthetic and makes it possible for the individual to stay awake during the surgery. A thin jet of water safely displaces the fat cells where they are easily suctioned out without being required to pull them out.
Therefore less work is required by the specialist, which also minimizes any damage to surrounding parts. Whilst in procedure, the doctor can shift the patient if needed, and can have them to stand up so they can determine the outcome. A lot less fluid is used, the procedure is shorter, and most of the solution drains away from the body before the individual leaves the surgical practice.
